Refund Policy

Effective Date: 22.09.2025
This Refund Policy applies to the purchase of tickets, passes, workshops, social events, bootcamps, and any other paid add-ons for Semiofest Warsaw 2026 (“Event”).
By purchasing a ticket or any add-on for the Event, the buyer agrees to this Refund Policy.

  1. General Rule
All ticket purchases for Semiofest Warsaw 2026 are final and non-refundable, except as expressly stated in this Refund Policy or where mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
  2. Time-Specific Event
Semiofest Warsaw 2026 is a time-specific event held on fixed dates. For that reason, tickets purchased for the Event are generally not subject to cancellation for convenience after purchase.
  3. Covered Products
This Refund Policy applies to, in particular:
    • 2-day conference passes,
    • workshop tickets,
    • social dinner tickets,
    • client bootcamp tickets,
    • other event add-ons or paid accompanying activities.
Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, each paid item is treated as a separate booking.
  4. No Refunds for Personal Circumstances
No refund will be issued if the attendee is unable to attend due to personal circumstances, including but not limited to:
    • change of plans,
    • illness or injury,
    • travel disruption,
    • visa refusal or delay,
    • work-related conflicts,
    • accommodation issues,
    • failure to attend,
    • late arrival,
    • failure to use the ticket.
  5. Programme Changes
The Event programme may change. Speakers, session titles, session times, formats, room allocations, and non-essential elements of the Event may be amended at any time.
Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund, provided that the Event is substantially delivered as announced.
  6. Ticket Transfers
If an attendee cannot attend, tickets may be transferred to another person up to 7 calendar days before the first day of the Event, subject to notice sent to warsaw@semiofest.com and confirmation by the organiser.
    The transfer request must include:
    • original buyer’s full name and email address,
    • original attendee’s full name and email address,
    • new attendee’s full name and email address,
    • order number.
A transfer becomes valid only once confirmed in writing by the organiser.
The organiser may refuse transfer requests submitted after the deadline, requests with incomplete information, or requests that would create operational or security issues.
  7. Name Corrections
Minor corrections to attendee details may be made free of charge upon request. The organiser reserves the right to distinguish between a genuine correction and a full ticket transfer.
  8. Duplicate Purchases
If the buyer accidentally purchases the same ticket type more than once for the same attendee, the buyer must notify the organiser within 48 hours of purchase at warsaw@semiofest.com.
Where the organiser reasonably determines that a duplicate purchase occurred in error, one of the duplicate orders may be refunded. This does not apply to separate purchases intentionally made for different attendees.
  9. Cancellation by the Organiser
If Semiofest Warsaw 2026 is cancelled in full and not rescheduled, the organiser will refund the amount actually paid for the cancelled ticket or add-on.
Refunds will be made to the original payment method within 14 days from the date the refund is approved, unless a longer period is required due to payment processor procedures.
The organiser is not responsible for reimbursing any additional costs incurred by attendees, including but not limited to:
    • travel costs,
    • accommodation costs,
    • insurance costs,
    • visa costs,
    • currency exchange losses,
    • bank or card fees charged by third parties.
  10. Postponement or Material Change
If the Event is postponed to a new date or materially relocated to another city or country, the organiser may offer, at its discretion:
    • automatic validity of the ticket for the new date, or
    • the option to request a refund within the deadline stated in the organiser’s notice.
If the attendee does not request a refund within the stated deadline, the ticket may be deemed accepted for the rescheduled Event.
A change of room, venue building, or venue details within Warsaw that does not materially affect the Event shall not be treated as a material relocation.
  11. Third-Party Payment Providers
Where checkout or payment processing is handled by a third-party provider, the technical processing of payments and refunds may also be subject to that provider’s procedures. However, refund eligibility remains governed by this Refund Policy unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.
  12. Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute, buyers are requested to contact the organiser at warsaw@semiofest.com so that the matter can be reviewed and, where appropriate, resolved directly.
  13. Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes or limits any non-waivable rights that a buyer may have under applicable law.
  14. Contact
For all refund, transfer, or ticketing questions, please contact:
